Foreign currency carry permit

For customers with foreign currency in Harbin Bank, when they are allowed abroad to visit relatives, travel, research, study, etc., they need to take foreign currency deposits, for which they may submit an application to the Personal Foreign Exchange Business Center of Harbin Bank, which will issue "Outgoing Permit to Carry Foreign Currency" according to relevant regulations.

Amount management

1. Carry Permit is not required for outgoing persons carrying foreign currencies less than USD5,000 (inclusive) abroad.

2. Outgoing persons carrying foreign currencies with amount more than USD5,000 to USD10,000 (inclusive) should apply for a "Carry Permit" from designated foreign exchange banks, and the Customs will inspect and release it based on "Carry Permit" sealed by designated foreign exchange banks;

3. Outgoing persons are not allowed in principle to carry more than USD10,000 equivalent of foreign currency banknote abroad, and under exceptional circumstances, outgoing persons can apply for "Carry Permit" from foreign exchange bureau.

Term of "Carry Permit"

"Outgoing Permit to Carry Foreign Currency" is valid for first use within 30 days from the issuing date;

Business process

1. Customers who want to withdraw cash from banks should fill in the application for carrying foreign currency abroad, and provide passport, valid visa, passport or travel abroad notices and other relevant supporting documents;

2. After the review of bank staff, the bank will issue "Outgoing Permit to Carry Foreign Currency" to customers according to regulations of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
